Any class

On-Use Trinket + Racial Burst

#showtooltip
/cast Blood Fury
/use 13
/use 14

(Replace Blood Fury with your racial — Orc Blood Fury, Troll Berserking, Tauren War Stomp all work in Forever) Stacks your racial cooldown with both trinkets in a single press, so the entire burst window lines up exactly when you press it - not a GCD later.

Any class

Trinket Swap Macro (equip-on-use trinket)

/equip 13 Trinket of the Cursed
/use 13

Can only swap out of combat. In combat it just uses the equipped one — add [nocombat] to the equip line.

Any class

Use Both Trinkets

#showtooltip
/use 13
/use 14

Pops both trinket slots with one key - the standard way to line up two on-use effects for a bigger, cleaner burst window.

Druid

Balance Survival (Nature's Grasp + Barkskin)

#showtooltip
/cast Nature's Grasp
/cast Barkskin

With no Starfall or Force of Nature on Forever, the balance raid survival kit is your burst: Nature's Grasp roots any attacker (procs per hit for 45s) while Barkskin cuts incoming damage. Why valuable: casters who survive the add-swarm keep DPSing — this is the one-key "don't die to the pack" button.

Druid

Barkskin (damage reduction)

#showtooltip
/cast Barkskin

Instant 20% damage reduction — the druid's 'I'm being focused' button. Works in any form; the universal panic mitigation.

Druid

Claw (cat CP builder — form-guard)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3] Cat Form
/cast Claw
/startattack

Claw is the classic cat's basic combo-point builder — the fallback when Rake's bleed is already up or Shred can't be used (target facing you). The form guard means you're never stuck in caster form pressing it. Why valuable: a cat that's not building CPs is a cat doing zero damage; this button keeps you in form and attacking from any state.

Druid

Cower (threat dump)

#showtooltip
/cast Cower

Reduces your threat in cat form — the 'stop pulling off the tank' button when your bleeds are generating too much aggro.

Druid

Dash (speed burst)

#showtooltip
/cast Dash

Cat-form speed burst — the chase-and-escape key. Cat-only, so bind it near your Cat Form button.

Druid

Faerie Fire (armor debuff)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][harm] Faerie Fire

Reduces target armor — the raid-wide physical DPS multiplier. If you're the only druid, this 100% uptime is your most important debuff.

Druid

Feral Raid Opener (prowl + ravage + FF)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostealth] Prowl
/cast [stealth] Ravage
/cast [stealth] Faerie Fire

Boss pulls start with you out of cat or in travel form. One key: enter stealth → Ravage from stealth (bonus damage) → Faerie Fire (armor shred) before the tank even finishes the pull. Why valuable: Ravage-from-stealth is your biggest opening hit, and the FF debuff helps the whole raid's physical DPS from second zero.

Druid

Ferocious Bite (direct finisher)

#showtooltip
/cast Ferocious Bite

The cat's damage finisher — dumps combo points for a big hit (scales with AP). The 'spend the CPs' button for targets that won't live through Rip.

Druid

Form-Dance Opener (prowl + ravage + FF)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostealth] Prowl
/cast [stealth] Ravage
/cast [stealth] Faerie Fire

The full feral opener on one key: stealth → Ravage (bonus damage from stealth) → Faerie Fire (armor shred) — all while still stealthed. You start the fight with your biggest hit and the debuff applied.

Druid

Hurricane (AoE channel — form-guard)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:5] Moonkin Form
/cast Hurricane

Hurricane is the classic balance druid's AoE — a channelled windstorm that damages everything in a wide area for 10s. Why valuable: on AoE-heavy trash and packs it's the druid's only real AoE damage; the Moonkin guard keeps the 10% crit aura up while you channel.

Druid

Insect Swarm (talent DoT)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][harm] Insect Swarm

DoT that reduces the target's hit chance — balance damage + mitigation in one. Talent-gated until you spend Balance points.

Druid

Moonfire (instant DoT — mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][harm] Moonfire

Instant, no-mana-after-first-cost DoT that also opens fights — the balance 'always up' debuff. Mouseover lets you tag adds or PvP targets instantly.

Druid

Moonfire + Insect Swarm Dual-Dot

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=8 Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Moonfire, Insect Swarm

Both balance DoTs on one button, kept fresh on the current target. Why valuable: DoT uptime is the balance druid's whole damage profile — a dropped Moonfire or Swarm is lost DPS every tick it's missing. This button manages both refresh timers for you, freeing your attention for movement mechanics.

Druid

Moonfire + Wrath rotation (single button)

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=6 Moonfire, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath

One key runs the classic balance rotation: Moonfire, then Wrath x3, then reset — DoT uptime with zero timer-watching. The 'lazy but optimal' DPS key.

Druid

Nature's Grasp (root attackers on hit)

#showtooltip
/cast Nature's Grasp

Nature's Grasp is the classic balance survival tool — 45s buff that roots anything that melees you.

Druid

Pounce (stealth stun — level 36)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3] Cat Form
/cast [stealth] Pounce

Pounce (36) is the classic cat's opening stun — good for add control and PvP openers.

Druid

Primal Bite (talent finisher)

#showtooltip
/cast Primal Bite

(Talent finisher — add to the bar once you've specced into it.) The classic feral finisher talent — a burst alternative to Rip/Ferocious Bite. Add to the bar once specced; greys out before that.

Druid

Prowl (stealth)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostealth] Prowl

Cat-form stealth — the druid's opener and escape tool. Nostealth guard prevents wasted presses while already hidden.

Druid

Rake (cat bleed + CP builder)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3] Cat Form
/cast Rake
/startattack

Rake (level 24) is the classic cat's bleed + combo-point builder — refresh the bleed every ~8s, use Shred between refreshes. Why valuable: bleeds scale with your gear, so Rake uptime is a hidden DPS meter.

Druid

Ravage Opener (stealth-only)

#showtooltip
/cast [stealth] Ravage; [nostealth] Claw

Ravage from stealth is the feral's biggest opening hit; out of stealth the same key falls back to Claw.

Druid

Rip (5-CP DoT finisher)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3] Cat Form
/cast Rip

Rip is the feral's strongest single-target damage (a 5-CP bleed). A dedicated key with a clear icon makes the "refresh before it falls" timing obvious. Why valuable: Rip's tick damage outpaces Ferocious Bite at full CPs on long fights — knowing which finisher to press is what separates good ferals from great ones. (Bind Rip and Ferocious Bite next to each other; refresh Rip, dump excess CPs into FB.)

Druid

Shred (behind target — form-guard)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3] Cat Form
/cast Shred
/startattack

Shred is the classic cat's hardest-hitting CP builder — big damage from behind the target, feeding Rip and Ferocious Bite. The form guard means you're never stuck in caster form pressing it.

Druid

Starfire (big nuke)

#showtooltip
/cast Starfire

The balance druid's big slow nuke — hardest single hit in the kit. Pairs with Moonfire DoT and Insect Swarm for the full rotation.

Druid

Wrath (fast nuke — form-guard)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:5] Moonkin Form
/cast Wrath

Wrath is your filler; being stuck out of moonkin form (resurrection, dispel, shapeshift hiccup) while spamming it wastes the moonkin crit buff. Why valuable: the form guard line means every Wrath press also guarantees the form — one key, always optimal.

Aimed Shot (ranged heavy hit)

#showtooltip

Your hardest-hitting ranged shot on one key - a dedicated burst button for when raw damage matters more than cast speed.

#showtooltip
/cast Soul Fire

Your biggest single hit — long cast, but it's the Demonology nuke that makes the burst window count. Bind it where you won't need to move for 3 seconds.

Warlock

Soulstone the Tank (auto-rez)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Create Soulstone; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Create Soulstone
/use [@focus,help,nodead] Soulstone

Focus = tank, mouseover = anyone else. One key creates AND applies the rez-buff to the right person before every pull — you never wipe the raid because the MT lacked a soulstone.

Warlock

Subjugate Demon / Eye of Kilrogg

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Subjugate Demon; Eye of Kilrogg

The classic warlock utility replacements: Eye of Kilrogg (scout) and Subjugate Demon (control a demon, then release). Use those for the same "set up before the fight, escape after" role.

Warrior

Bloodrage + Berserker Rage (rage engine)

#showtooltip
/cast Bloodrage
/cast Berserker Rage

Guarantees starting rage and fear immunity in one press - open every pull with the rage you need and shrug off fears mid-fight.

Warrior

Charge + Rend (opener)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Charge; [stance:3] Intercept
/cast Rend

(Battle stance → Charge, Berserker → Intercept, then Rend) One key handles the stance check - Charge from Battle, Intercept from Berserker - and lands Rend on arrival, so the opener's gap-close and bleed fire in a single press.

Warrior

Execute (any stance)

#showtooltip
/cast Execute
/startattack

Execute works from any stance, so the finisher fires the instant the target drops below 20% health - no stance dance between you and the kill.

Warrior

Execute + Weapon Swap (2H slam)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/cast Execute

Warriors often tank with 1H+Shield then swap to 2H for Execute phases. This macro swaps the weapon AND fires Execute in one press — no wasted GCD fumbling gear mid-fight.

Warrior

Execute Weapon-Swap (big 2H for the finisher)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/cast Execute

Execute's damage scales with weapon max-damage in Classic-era combat math — a slow, high-top-end 2H makes every Execute hit dramatically harder than your fast 1H. This macro swaps to the big stick and fires Execute in one press. Why it matters: the sub-20% execute phase is where warrior DPS goes vertical — this is the button that makes the last 20% of the boss your best 20%. Advanced timing trick: every weapon swap resets your swing timer, a free DPS gain — so press this on the execute-phase GCD, then hit Swap Back below to restore your normal set and start the next...

Warrior

Mortal Strike + Auto-Attack

#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast [stance:1] Mortal Strike

/startattack gets the swing going before Mortal Strike lands so no GCD is wasted, and [stance:1] prevents dead presses outside Battle stance.

Warrior

Overpower (proc watcher)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Overpower

Turns every enemy dodge into a guaranteed crit - one press the moment the proc lights up, with no stance-bar hunting mid-fight.

Warrior

Overpower Big-Weapon (swap in a slow 2H for the proc)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/cast [stance:1] Overpower; Battle Stance

Overpower crits are weapon-damage based — the same trick as Execute: swap to the big 2H, stance-dance into Battle, land the free crit, and the swing-timer reset means you don't lose your next auto. One macro, three things happening in the right order.

Warrior

Overpower Dance (proc → Battle → hit)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Overpower; Battle Stance

Overpower only fires from Battle Stance — and only after your target dodges. The "dance": when the proc shows up, press once to stance into Battle (if needed), press again to Overpower. Two presses total, zero stance-hunting. The payoff: a guaranteed crit on a free swing every time your target dodges.

Warrior

Recklessness + Death Wish (big burst)

#showtooltip
/cast Recklessness
/cast Death Wish

Both damage cooldowns fire on one key - the crit burst and bonus damage share a bind, so your kill window starts the instant you press it.

Warrior

Retaliation (parry everything)

#showtooltip
/cast Retaliation

One press parries all melee for 15 seconds - the anti-melee panic button that turns a swarming pack into free counter-attacks.

Warrior

Slam (no cast bar cancel)

#showtooltip
/stopcasting
/cast Slam

One key fires Slam and uses /stopcasting to snap out of whatever you were mid-cast on - the classic fake-cast control that baits interrupts or clips the swing at the perfect moment.

Warrior

Slam Cancel-Cast (big weapon + no-castbar)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/cast [stance:1] Slam; Battle Stance
/stopcasting

Slam is a cast-time attack whose damage uses your weapon — so the slow 2H maximizes it. The stopcasting line is the classic trick: Slam's cast bar can be cancelled to fake-cast and bait interrupts (you keep rage), or to clip it at the perfect moment. One key: big weapon, right stance, cancel control.

Warrior

Sunder Armor Stacker (tank opener)

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=target Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor

Tanking requires 5 Sunder stacks for threat + armor shred. This button auto-cycles through them and resets when you switch targets — you never manually track which stack you're on. One key, perfect threat opener.

Warrior

Swap Back (return to your normal weapons)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sword of the Twin Blades
/equipslot 17, Bulwark of Azzinoth

The second half of the dance: after the Execute swap, this restores your normal weapon set — and the swap resets the swing timer again, so the whole cycle (big hit → swap → fresh swing) is a net DPS gain. Bind it right next to the Execute button and train the rhythm: Execute → swap-back → continue rotation.

Warrior

Thunder Clap + Demo Shout (AoE threat)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Thunder Clap
/cast Demoralizing Shout

AoE damage and the attack-power debuff stack on one key - [stance:2] keeps Thunder Clap honest while Demoralizing Shout lands from any stance, a one-press AoE threat package.

Warrior

Victory Rush self-heal

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Victory Rush

[@player] guarantees the heal lands on you, not a mouseover - an instant self-top-up the moment a finishing blow procs it.

Warrior

Whirlwind (Berserker stance auto-switch)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:3] Whirlwind

[stance:3] makes the button safe to hammer - it only fires in Berserker stance, and one key covers your AoE burst on every pack.

Defensive45

Druid

Bash (stun)

#showtooltip
/cast Bash

5-second stun in bear form — the tank's interrupt/CC for caster adds and boss mechanics. One key, no form check needed.

Druid

Bear Form + Enrage (rage engine)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:1] Bear Form
/cast Enrage

Enrage fills your rage bar on entering bear — the correct tank opener that makes your first few Mauls/Lacerates free. One key for the whole ramp.

Druid

Bear Panic (Barkskin + Frenzied Regeneration)

#showtooltip
/cast Barkskin
/cast [@player] Frenzied Regeneration

The bear's oh-crap button: Barkskin (20% damage reduction) + Frenzied Regeneration (convert rage to health over 10s) — two defensives in one press. Why valuable: raid bosses hit hard; a tank has ~2 seconds to react to a bad debuff stack. One key beats two panicked keypresses.

Druid

Bear Panic (Enrage + Frenzied Regeneration)

#showtooltip
/cast Enrage
/cast [@player] Frenzied Regeneration

Frenzied Regen heals based on rage — Enrage just filled your rage bar. Press both: instant big self-heal with max rage conversion. The bear's "I'm dying" button.

Druid

Bear Pull (Enrage + Lacerate opener)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:1] Bear Form
/cast Enrage
/cast Lacerate
/startattack

The correct bear pull: Enrage fills your rage bar (more threat, faster), Lacerate starts the bleed stack, auto-attack engaged. Why valuable: opening with Enrage means your first Lacerates cost nothing and your threat lead is huge — DPS can burst from second one instead of waiting for you to build aggro.

Druid

Challenging Roar (AoE taunt)

#showtooltip
/cast Challenging Roar

Taunts everything in range — the 'oh crap, adds everywhere' button. Long cooldown, but it's the bear's raid-saving taunt.

Druid

Demoralizing Roar (AoE attack debuff)

#showtooltip
/cast Demoralizing Roar

Reduces all nearby enemies' attack power — the bear's group-wide mitigation. Press on pull so the pack hits softer for the whole fight.

Druid

Faerie Fire (Feral) — raid debuff duty

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead] Faerie Fire; [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Faerie Fire

Faerie Fire (-armor) is a raid-wide physical DPS multiplier — bosses need it up 100%. This macro keeps it on your focus (the boss) without breaking your target. Why valuable: druids are often the only FF source in a raid; a missing FF is 5% physical DPS loss for everyone. One key, always applied.

Druid

Feral Charge (gap closer)

#showtooltip
/cast Feral Charge

Bear/cat charge to the target — the druid's gap-closer and stun-interrupt. Talent-gated in Feral Combat.

Druid

Frenzied Regeneration (self-heal)

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Frenzied Regeneration

Converts rage into health over 10s — the bear's self-heal. Self-cast guard means it always lands on you even if a friendly is targeted.

Druid

Growl (taunt)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][@focus,harm,nodead][] Growl

Bear taunt with mouseover→focus→target priority — the 'get it off the healer NOW' key. Priority chain means no target-switching during an emergency.

Druid

Lacerate Stacker (bear bleed + threat)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:1] Bear Form
/castsequence reset=target Lacerate, Lacerate, Lacerate, Lacerate, Lacerate

Lacerate (level 42) is the classic bear's bleed-stack + threat generator — up to 5 stacks, each doing damage and generating threat. This button cycles through the stacks and auto-resets when you switch targets. Why valuable: a stacked Lacerate is your main raid threat source AND a passive DPS bleed — this macro keeps all 5 stacks up without you counting them mid-fight.

Druid

Maul (single-target threat — form-guard)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:1] Bear Form
/cast Maul
/startattack

Maul is the bear's single-target threat spike — it converts rage into an on-next-swing attack with bonus threat, and it feeds your Lacerate stack. One button: shift to bear, Maul, engage. Why valuable: on single-target bosses Maul-on-cooldown is the bear's threat core; binding it with the form shift means you're never caught in caster form during a tank swap.

Druid

Soothe Animal (remove enrage)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Soothe Animal

(Forever renames Soothe → Soothe Animal.) Removes enrage effects from beasts — the classic "calm the raging mob" utility. Focus-based so you can calm the dangerous add without retargeting.

Druid

Swipe (AoE threat)

#showtooltip
/cast Swipe

Bear AoE threat generator — the 'grab the pack' button for multi-target pulls. Every add that isn't swiped is an add heading for your healer.

Hunter

Deterrence (dodge everything)

#showtooltip
/cast Deterrence

A dedicated defensive key that dodges melee attacks - a reaction-time save when something reaches you and Disengage is on cooldown.

Hunter

Deterrence + Feign Death (oh-sheet button)

#showtooltip
/cast Deterrence
/cast Feign Death

Parry-everything + drop-aggro in one key. When a mob peels off the tank at you, this button saves your life — the two best hunter defensives firing together.

Mage

Blink (teleport)

#showtooltip
/cast Blink

Forward teleport on a single key — your panic button / gap closer, no targeting needed, press and move.

Mage

Ice Block (self freeze — talent)

#showtooltip
/cast Ice Block

A one-press invulnerability button — freezes you in ice to wait out a death timer or drop aggro. No target logic required.

Mage

Ice Block Toggle (self-freeze + cancel)

#showtooltip
/cast Ice Block

Press to freeze yourself immune; press the same button again while frozen (with a /cancelaura Ice Block on the second line in your second macro) to thaw early. Bind both macros to the same key and you control the block duration.

Mage

Mana Shield (absorb damage with mana)

#showtooltip
/cast Mana Shield

One-button mana-for-health absorb — no macro logic needed, just press before the incoming hit connects.

Paladin

Blessing of Freedom (root/slow break)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Blessing of Freedom

Instantly breaks roots and slows on whoever you hover, or yourself - free the tank or the kiter without ever switching targets.

Paladin

Blessing of Protection (bubble self/save)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Blessing of Protection

Saves the hovered ally or yourself from all physical damage for 10 seconds - mouseover priority means the save lands the instant a melee add targets them.

Paladin

Blessing of Sacrifice / Freedom combo

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Blessing of Sacrifice; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Blessing of Freedom

Focus = tank you're saving (Sacrifice redirects damage), mouseover = anyone rooted (Freedom breaks it). One button, two lifesaving blessings. Forever uses Classic naming — these are Blessing of Sacrifice/Freedom, not Hand of Sacrifice/Freedom.

Paladin

Divine Shield (immune)

#showtooltip
/cast Divine Shield

One press makes you immune to all damage for the bubble's duration - the ultimate survival key for dropping threat, dodging a wipe mechanic, or buying time.

Paladin

Emergency Self-Heal

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Lay on Hands

(Every class: replace with your biggest self-heal — Healthstone works too) [@player] guarantees the heal lands on you even in a panic - no mouseover accidents when seconds decide whether you live.

Paladin

Holy Shield (talent — threat generator)

#showtooltip
/cast Holy Shield
/startattack

Holy Shield is a talent. Paladins in Classic have no taunt — use Righteous Fury + Consecration for sustained threat.

Paladin

Righteous Fury (threat buff toggle)

#showtooltip
/cast Righteous Fury

One key keeps your threat buff up - without it every Consecration and Judgement tick is threat you never get credit for.

Priest

Fade (threat dump)

#showtooltip
/cast Fade

The healer's threat-dump — one press drops a chunk of aggro. Bind it somewhere you can hit instantly when a mob peels; healers who don't have this keyed die to adds.

Priest

Shield + Renew (tank bubble macro)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Power Word: Shield
/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Renew

Two HoTs/bubbles on the tank (focus) in one key — the Disc priest's "keep the MT alive" button. Hover anyone else for the same combo on them.

Rogue

Evasion (dodge)

#showtooltip
/cast Evasion

A one-press dodge boost that saves you when damage spikes - the reaction-time defensive for when melee pressure gets heavy.

Rogue

Sprint (escape/chase)

#showtooltip
/cast Sprint

Instant speed on one key - the escape-or-chase button that gets you out of danger or onto a runner without touching your movement keys.

Shaman

Pot + Heal Emergency (cooldown-staggered)

/use [combat] Major Healing Potion
/cast [combat] Healing Wave

Potion and heal combo on one key, both combat-gated - the pot's instant cushion lands first, then the heal cast, from a single panicked press.

Warlock

Healthstone (create + use)

#showtooltip
/cast Create Healthstone
/use Healthstone

Makes and eats a healthstone in one press — the warlock's personal emergency heal. Always have one made; this key both creates and consumes.

Warlock

Life Tap + Healthstone (safe mana)

#showtooltip
/cast Life Tap
/use [combat] Healthstone

Life Tap trades health for mana; the healthstone instantly refunds that health. One key = mana refill with zero downtime — the sustain trick that keeps locks grinding forever.

Warrior

Last Stand + Shield Wall emergency

#showtooltip
/cast Last Stand
/cast Shield Wall

Pops both survival cooldowns in a single press - the extra health and damage reduction land together exactly when the tank is about to eat a big hit.

Warrior

Panic Button (Shield Wall + Last Stand + Pot)

#showtooltip
/cast Shield Wall
/cast Last Stand
/use [combat] Major Healing Potion

When you're about to die, you don't have time for three separate keys. This one button: damage reduction + max-HP boost + potion. Press it, survive, live to fight the next pull.

Warrior

Panic: Defensive + Shield + Last Stand (tank save)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Last Stand; [nostance:2] Defensive Stance
/equipslot [mod:shift] 16, Bulwark of Azzinoth

The "I'm about to die" button: stance into Defensive, pop Last Stand (+30% max HP for 20s — heals you for the gain), and Shift-press to also grab the shield. Raid tanks bind this to a panic key so the save is one keystroke, not three. Why: when the boss is about to hit you for 90% of your HP, you don't have time for a macro that needs two presses.

Warrior

Shield Block + Shield Bash (defensive interrupt combo)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Shield Block; [stance:2] Shield Bash; [nostance:2] Defensive Stance

Shield Block and Shield Bash are both Defensive-locked. This macro stance-dances you in and fires the block (for the incoming melee) while keeping Bash ready on the same button — press it when a caster starts channeling and you get the interrupt and the mitigation in the same stance dance.

Warrior

Shield Block + Shield Bash (interrupt)

#showtooltip
/cast Shield Block
/cast [stance:2] Shield Bash

Block comes up for the incoming melee while Bash stays ready on the same key - one bind covers mitigation plus the interrupt you will need the moment a caster starts channeling.

Warrior

Shield Slam (Defensive auto-switch)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Shield Slam
/startattack

[stance:2] means the button only fires in Defensive stance, and /startattack keeps the swing rolling - your highest single-target threat with no dead presses.

Warrior

Spell Reflection (survival)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Shield Block
/cast [stance:2] Disarm

Use Shield Block + Disarm in Defensive stance as the anti-melee defensive instead.

Warrior

Taunt + Defensive (oh-@#$% tank button)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Taunt; [nostance:2] Defensive Stance

Taunt requires Defensive Stance — and the moment you need it is usually right now (an add ripped to the healer). One press: if you're not in Defensive, it stances you in; press again and the taunt lands. Two presses beats fumbling the stance bar while the healer dies.

Warrior

Taunt Macro — mouseover or focus

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][@focus,harm,nodead][] Taunt

Resolves three priorities in one press - mouseover, then focus, then current target - the difference between catching the add and watching the healer die.

Warrior

Two-Hander / Sword-and-Board (DPS ↔ tank swap)

#showtooltip
/equipslot [mod:shift] 16, Sword of the Twin Blades
/equipslot [mod:shift] 17, Bulwark of Azzinoth
/equipslot [nomod] 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand

The core weapon swap: Shift = 1H + shield (tank mode: Taunt, Shield Block, Shield Slam), plain = big 2H (DPS mode: Mortal Strike, Execute, Whirlwind). One key swaps your whole threat profile. Why it matters: a Warrior that can flip between tanking and DPS mid-fight is the difference between a pug that wipes on adds and one that survives. (Swap in your real weapon names.)

Healing47

Druid

Abolish Poison (self/mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Abolish Poison

Removes AND prevents poison for a duration — the anti-poison-boss tool. Mouseover-first so you can cleanse the tank without dropping your own healing target.

Druid

Dispel Combo (Remove Curse + Abolish Poison)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Remove Curse
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Abolish Poison

Both druid dispels on one key — curse OR poison, whoever you hover. Why valuable: raid fights mix debuff types; one button covers both without you checking what's on the target. Mouseover-first = dispel the tank in raid frames without losing your target.

Druid

Gift of the Wild (raid-wide buff)

#showtooltip
/cast Gift of the Wild

Gift of the Wild is the classic druid raid buff — all stats, all resists, and armor on every party member in one cast. Why valuable: it's your cast-every-30-minutes raid duty; a dedicated key makes re-buffing after a wipe one press instead of twenty.

Druid

Healing Touch (big heal)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Healing Touch

The druid's biggest direct heal — slow cast, huge output. Mouseover-first so it lands on whoever you hover in raid frames.

Druid

Innervate (mana regen — self or the right healer)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Innervate; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Innervate; [@player] Innervate

Innervate restores a huge chunk of mana over 20s — on a raid boss that lasts 8 minutes, the difference between "healer out of mana at 60%" and "healer still casting at 100%" is Innervate placement. Set your focus to the mana-hungry healer (priest/shaman), one key gifts them the mana. Why valuable: you're not always the best Innervate target — the raid's throughput healer is. This macro makes it one key.

Druid

Mouseover Harm (dots, nukes, interrupts)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][harm,nodead] Moonfire

Fires your DoT or nuke at the hovered enemy with a [harm, nodead] fallback to your current target - switch between damage and healing with zero targeting.

Druid

Mouseover Heal (self if no mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Healing Touch

(Replace Healing Touch with your heal — works for Rejuvenation, Flash Heal, etc.) Heals the unit under your cursor and falls back to yourself with [@player] - the fastest way to heal without breaking target, with no whiff risk.

Druid

Nature's Swiftness + Healing Touch (instant big heal)

#showtooltip
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast Healing Touch

Nature's Swiftness makes the next heal instant + free — this is the druid's 'tank is at 10%, heal NOW' button. Two abilities, one GCD.

Druid

Nature's Swiftness + Regrowth (instant save)

#showtooltip
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Regrowth

Nature's Swiftness makes the next heal instant + free. Pairing it with Regrowth (direct + HoT) gives you a big instant heal with a HoT attached — the resto raid "save the tank NOW" macro. Why valuable: a single instant big-heal beats a 3.5s cast when the tank is at 10%.

Druid

Rebirth (combat rez — mouseover + announce)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,dead] Rebirth; [@target,dead] Rebirth
/script SendChatMessage("Rezzing "..UnitName("target"), "RAID")

Combat rezzes are a raid-limited resource — using them wisely matters. This macro rezzes the dead player you hover (or target) and announces it so the raid knows. Why valuable: a dead DPS is lost raid DPS; a dead tank is a wipe. One key from raid frames = instant recovery. (The announce keeps officers informed so the next rez is assigned properly.)

Druid

Regrowth (direct + HoT — mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Regrowth

Direct heal + HoT in one cast — the resto workhorse. Mouseover keeps it on the tank while your target stays on the boss.

Druid

Rejuvenation (HoT — mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Rejuvenation

The druid's core HoT — mouseover-first means you heal raid frames without changing target. Cheap, instant, and the backbone of resto healing.

Druid

Remove Curse (self/mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Remove Curse

The druid's curse dispel — mouseover-first so you cleanse raid frames without losing your heal target. A curse left on the tank is a dead tank.

Druid

Revive (out-of-combat rez — mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,dead] Revive; [@target,dead] Revive

Revive is the classic out-of-combat rez; keep the raid rez (Rebirth) for combat.

Druid

Shift-Cancel + Instant Rejuv (heal out of form)

#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3] Cat Form
/cast [stance:3] Rejuvenation

Rejuvenation is instant and keeps ticking in cat form. This shifts out, HoTs you, and you can shift back — no cast time wasted vs Healing Touch. The leveling heal that doesn't stop your DPS.

Druid

Swiftmend (talent — consume HoT for instant)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Swiftmend

Swiftmend consumes a Rejuvenation or Regrowth on the target for an instant, huge heal — the resto druid's emergency save. Mouseover-first means you can rescue anyone in the raid frames without changing your main healing target. Why valuable: it's instant, it's big, and it's your only true "oh no" button besides Tranquility.

Druid

Tranquility (channel AoE heal)

#showtooltip
/cast Tranquility

Tranquility is the resto druid's raid-wide emergency heal — a channeled AoE that heals the whole party every 2s for 10s. Why valuable: it's the classic answer to raid-wide damage spikes; on bosses with predictable bursts, pre-casting it turns a wipe into a save.

Druid

Wild Growth (talent — party HoT)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Wild Growth

Party-wide HoT in one cast — the resto raid tool for group-wide damage. Talent-gated: greys out until you spend Restoration points.

Paladin

Cleanse (mouseover dispel)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Cleanse

Removes disease, magic, and poison from whoever you hover, or yourself - the paladin's most-spammed support spell, with target priority built in.

Paladin

Flash of Light (mouseover heal)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Flash of Light

The efficient fast heal lands on whoever you hover, or yourself with [@player] - triage the raid without ever changing target, and self-cast if nothing is hovered.

Paladin

Holy Light (big heal)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Holy Light

The big heal reaches your mouseover or yourself in one press - zero target-switching when someone is about to die.

Paladin

Holy Shock (burst heal or damage)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][harm] Holy Shock

One key does double duty - instant burst heal on your mouseover ally or instant nuke on your enemy, chosen automatically by the [help] and [harm] conditions.

Paladin

Holy Shock Rescue (save anyone)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead] Holy Shock; [@player] Holy Shock

Instant 3k+ burst heal on whoever you hover — faster than any cast-time heal. Hover the dying DPS, press, done. Self-casts when no mouseover so it doubles as your own emergency.

Paladin

Lay on Hands (self emergency)

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Lay on Hands

[@player] guarantees this full heal lands on you in a panic - no mouseover misfires when the screen is chaos and life is on the line.

Priest

Abolish Disease (self)

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Abolish Disease

A dedicated self-cleanse key - one press strips diseases off you repeatedly, so you stay debuff-free without hunting for the button mid-fight.

Priest

Binding Heal (self + target — talent)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead] Binding Heal

(Talent-gated (Holy tree). Classic's version of the instant "heal me + heal target" button.) One press heals both you and your mouseover target - the self+target efficiency that keeps you alive while you save someone else.

Priest

Cure Disease (mouseover)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Cure Disease

Mouseover cure with self-fallback - diseases get removed a full reaction faster, and you never accidentally cure the wrong person.

Priest

Desperate Prayer (self emergency)

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Desperate Prayer

Desperate Prayer + Power Word: Shield is your classic big-save combo — no Guardian Spirit in 1.60.1.

Priest

Dispel Magic (mouseover, both directions)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Dispel Magic; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Dispel Magic; [harm] Dispel Magic; [help] Dispel Magic

The four-condition chain purges enemies AND cures allies from the same key - mouseover or target, harm or help, one button does it all.

Priest

Flash Heal (fast mouseover heal)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Flash Heal

Mouseover-first with a self-cast fallback - hover the raid frame and press, no target switching; the fastest reactive heal in your kit.

Priest

Greater Heal (big slow heal)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Greater Heal

One key for your big heal, aimed by mouseover or self - reaction-time friendly when the tank spikes and you need maximum throughput immediately.

Priest

Inner Focus + Greater Heal (free big heal)

#showtooltip
/cast Inner Focus
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Greater Heal

Inner Focus makes your next spell free + crit-boosted. Locking it onto Greater Heal means every 3-min button press = a free, huge, guaranteed-crit heal. Best mana-efficiency trick in the kit.

Priest

Mouseover Friendly Buff

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Power Word: Fortitude

Buffs whoever you hover, or yourself when nothing is under the cursor - spreads raid buffs in seconds without targeting each player individually.

Priest

Power Word: Shield (mouseover bubble)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Power Word: Shield

#showtooltip
/cast Mana Tide Totem

Don't double-drop it with another Shaman's.

Shaman

Reincarnation (self-rez, once per 30m)

#showtooltip
/cast Reincarnation

A bare /cast macro for your self-rez — one press when you’re down and the 30-minute cooldown is ready.

Shaman

Single-Button Storm Totem (context)

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Earthbind Totem; [mod:ctrl] Tremor Totem; [mod:alt] Grounding Totem; Searing Totem

(Shift=slow, Ctrl=fear-break, Alt=spell-absorb, default=damage) Modifier keys (Shift/Ctrl/Alt) pack four totems into one button — slow, fear-break, spell-absorb, or damage at a single modifier press without hunting through your bars.

Shaman

Water Walking (toggle)

#showtooltip
/cast Water Walking

Single-button water walking toggle — saves clicking the spell book when you hit a water crossing.

Warlock

Demon Armor (armor + health regen)

#showtooltip
/cast Demon Armor

Your default armor — armor AND health regen in one buff. The 30-minute buff you re-apply after every death and wipe.

Warlock

Detect Invisibility (utility)

#showtooltip
/cast Detect Invisibility

Reveals stealthed targets — the anti-rogue/anti-camper tool. Worth a niche bind for world PvP and stealth-heavy dungeons.

Warlock

Drain Mana (burn enemy mana)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Drain Mana

Drains a caster's mana into yours — the anti-healer/caster tool that wins the long fight. Focus-based so you can drain the boss while DoTs tick.

Warlock

Eye of Kilrogg (scouting)

#showtooltip
/cast Eye of Kilrogg

Eye of Kilrogg is the classic warlock scouting tool — send your eye ahead to pull line of sight before a pull.

Warlock

Life Tap (mana — with macro warning)

#showtooltip
/cast Life Tap

Life Tap costs HP. Add a health check: /cast [health>30] Life Tap — only taps above 30% HP. (Classic has no Dark Pact; Life Tap IS the mana engine.)

Warlock

Shadow Ward (shadow absorb)

#showtooltip
/cast Shadow Ward

Shadow Ward is the classic anti-shadow buffer — great vs priest/shadow bosses. Demon Armor below is the default armor. Soaks shadow damage — the pre-fight buffer vs priests and shadow bosses. One press before the pull makes the opening hits free.

Warlock

Soulstone (create + apply rez buff — mouseover)

#showtooltip Create Soulstone
/cast Create Soulstone
/use [@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Soulstone

Forever splits Soulstone into the create spell (Create Soulstone) and the item (/use Soulstone). Press once to make the stone, press again to apply it to yourself or the hovered ally.

Warrior

Charge + Taunt (pull combo)

#showtooltip
/cast Charge
/cast Taunt

Charge closes the gap and Taunt snaps the pull onto you in one press - the tank opener that secures threat before the group can rip it away.

Warrior

Charge Opener (2H + Battle + Charge + Rend)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/cast [stance:1] Charge; Battle Stance
/cast Rend

The perfect pull button: big 2H equipped, Battle stance guaranteed, Charge in, Rend ticking on arrival. Everything the opener needs in one press — you land already bleeding the target. Why it matters: the first 2 seconds of a fight set your threat and your rage; this removes all three fiddly parts from it.

Warrior

Defensive → Battle → Berserker cycle (utility stances)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:2] Battle Stance; [stance:1] Berserker Stance; [stance:3] Battle Stance

A stance cycler for when you need a specific stance now: press from Defensive → Battle (to Charge/Overpower), press again → Berserker (to Intercept/Whirlwind), press again → Battle. With Tactical Mastery you keep your rage through the dance — every press is a valid stance change, never a dead button.

Warrior

Mocking Blow (off-tank taunt)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Mocking Blow

A second taunt that works from Battle stance - off-tanks get a backup threat button without having to stance into Defensive first.

Warrior

Stance-Dance (Battle → Defensive → back)

#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Defensive Stance; [stance:2] Battle Stance; [stance:3] Battle Stance

(One button: always returns to Battle stance from any) One button returns you to Battle stance from any stance - with Tactical Mastery you keep your rage through the change, making recovery a single keystroke.

PvP2

Any class

Clear Focus

/clearfocus

One press wipes the focus slot so your focus macros stop firing at a dead or wrong target after a kill - removes a whole class of mis-casts.

Any class

Mouseover-Focus (healers love this)

#showtooltip
/focus [@mouseover,help,nodead]

Sets focus on whatever friendly unit you hover - healers and interrupters can assign their focus target without ever changing their current target.

Raiding19

Any class

Add Taunt (pick up loose mobs)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Growl; [harm] Growl

Adds spawning behind the raid need taunting yesterday. Mouseover-taunt lets you grab the add without changing your boss target (and losing your tank rotation position). Why mouseover: you stay on the boss the whole time — the add is grabbed by hovering, not targeting.

Any class

Assist the Main Tank (pull follower)

#showtooltip
/assist [@focus,exists]
/startattack

Sets your focus to the MT at the start of the raid, then this button snaps you onto whatever they're tanking and starts attacking. Why it matters: it eliminates the "I attacked the wrong target" problem entirely — your DPS always lands on the tank's current target, which is the correct kill order.

Any class

Full Burst (trinkets + racial + potion)

#showtooltip
/cast Blood Fury
/use 13
/use 14
/use [combat] Potion of Wild Magic

Raid DPS is measured in cooldown windows. This stacks your racial (+attack power/int), both trinkets, and a combat potion into one keypress so they overlap during the boss's damage window . Why overlap matters: multiplicative buffs stacked together produce dramatically more damage than using them spread out. One key = the whole burst.

Any class

Mark Skull + Announce (leader call)

/script SetRaidTarget("target", 8)
/script SendChatMessage("SKULL -> "..UnitName("target"), "RAID")

Marks the kill target and announces it in raid chat in one press. The UnitName pull makes the call self-documenting — no "who's skull?" questions when the pull starts.

Any class

Mark Targets (skull / cross / moon)

#showtooltip
/script SetRaidTarget("target", 8)

8 = Skull (kill first), 7 = X (kill second), 3 = Moon (CC), 4 = Triangle (trap). Marking targets mid-fight is the single biggest DPS-coordination tool in raiding. Bind three of these (Skull/X/Moon) to Q/E/R.

Any class

Ready Check (one key)

/readycheck

The built-in /readycheck pings every raid member for a Ready/Not-Ready popup. Why macro it? Because it belongs on the same key cluster as your pull macros — one hand runs the whole pull sequence without opening menus. Press it before every pull while trash is being cleared.

Druid

Battle Rez Duty (druid)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,dead] Rebirth; [@target,dead] Rebirth

Combat rezzes are a limited raid resource. This targets a dead raid member by mouseover (or current dead target) and rezzes them instantly. Why: during a boss fight, the seconds a DPS spends dead are lost raid DPS; a dead tank is a wipe. The macro removes the "find the corpse in the raid frame" step.

Druid

Mana Regen (pot + Innervate)

#showtooltip
/use [combat] Major Mana Potion
/cast [@player] Innervate

Long boss fights are mana marathons. This combines your mana pot with your personal mana-regen CD. Why combine: you only have one potion per fight — timing it with your regen CD stretches both further. (Non-druids: swap the second line for your own regen tool, e.g. Mage's Evocation.)

Hunter

Hunter Burst on Tank (threat control)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] Bestial Wrath
/petattack

The classic hunter threat control is pacing: use Bestial Wrath (talent) + pet attack timing instead of MD. Focus = the kill target, one key = pet burst + send-in. Hunters still do their biggest damage in the first 15 seconds (trap + opener burst) — use the window, watch threat.

Mage

Decurse Duty (mage Remove Lesser Curse)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead] Remove Lesser Curse; [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Remove Lesser Curse

Some bosses put curses on the raid that must be stripped on cooldown. Focus-based keeps the rotation automatic — you keep DPSing the boss and the cleanse happens with one key. Why focus: it's the same boss every time — why retarget it?

Paladin

Dispel Priority Chain (raid dispel duty)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead] Cleanse; [@focus,help,nodead] Cleanse; [@player] Cleanse

Raids assign healers to dispel duty (e.g. every 10s on a raid-wide debuff). Mouseover-first means you dispel whoever you're hovering (usually the tank or a raid frame) without dropping your heal target; focus catches the off-tank; self as last resort. Why priority chains: in a dispel rotation there's no time to retarget — the macro picks the right person for you.

Priest

Raid CD: Save the Tank (priest/druid/paladin)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Power Word: Shield; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Power Word: Shield

The classic-era tank-save is a pre-cast Power Word: Shield on the tank you're assigned to protect — focus = tank, one key fires the bubble when the boss's big hit lands. Paladins use Blessing of Sacrifice, druids use Innervate→heal or pre-HoT Rejuvenation. The pattern holds: pre-assigned focus + one key = no target-switching during a 1-second tank-buster.

Priest

Tank-Assist Heal (heal whoever the boss is hitting)

#showtooltip
/cast [@targettarget,help,nodead][@mouseover,help,nodead][@player] Flash Heal

The tank-heal assist: target the boss, spam this, and you automatically heal the tank who has aggro. In single-tank fights this is faster than mouseover raid frames — zero targeting overhead. The fallback chain (mouseover → self) keeps it useful everywhere else.

Rogue

Interrupt Duty (focus + mouseover + target)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead] Kick; [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Kick; [harm] Kick

Raids assign 2-3 interrupters to a boss cast (e.g. every 8s). Your focus = the boss, so this always interrupts the assigned target; mouseover catches adds; target is the fallback. Why: a missed interrupt on a raid boss = raid-wide damage or wipe. The chain guarantees your interrupt lands on the right cast every time.

Warlock

Warlock Curse Duty (elements/weakness)

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Curse of Weakness; Curse of the Elements

Raids need specific curses up at all times (Elements for spell damage, Weakness for physical). One key keeps your assigned curse applied; shift swaps to the secondary. Why: curse uptime is a flat raid-DPS multiplier — a forgotten curse is lost damage every second it's down.

Warrior

Emergency Tank CD (all defensives)

#showtooltip
/cast Shield Wall
/cast Last Stand
/use [combat] Indestructible Potion

The oh-shit button for tanking: damage reduction + max-HP boost + defensive potion in one press. Why: raid bosses hit hard — a tank has ~2 seconds to react to a bad debuff stack. Three separate keys = death. One key = survival. (Every tank class has an equivalent: Shield Wall, Divine Shield, Frenzied Regeneration, Last Stand.)

Warrior

Execute-Phase Button (weapon swap + execute)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/cast Execute

Warriors in raid swap to a 2H for the sub-20% execute phase. This macro does the swap and fires Execute in one press. Why: boss fights have a defined execute window — every GCD you lose swapping gear manually is a GCD not spent executing. Bind it next to your Execute key.

Warrior

Tank-Swap Taunt (raid tanking)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead] Taunt; [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Taunt

In a tank swap, the off-tank must taunt the boss the instant the debuff lands. Focus = the boss, one key = instant taunt with zero target-switching. The mouseover fallback lets you grab loose adds (or the other tank's boss) by hovering. This is THE tank macro — it decides wipes vs. clean swaps.

Warrior

Threat Opener (sunder/maul/righteous fury + attack)

#showtooltip
/startattack
/castsequence reset=target Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor, Sunder Armor

A tank who loses aggro on pull wipes DPS. This builds a full 5-stack armor shred + threat instantly and auto-resets on target change — the pull opener is always correct, every time. Why sequence: it removes "which stack am I on?" from your brain during the chaotic first 10 seconds.

Quality of Life39

Any class

Assist Focus (DPS the kill target)

#showtooltip
/target [@focus,harm,nodead]
/startattack

Sets focus as your kill target and starts attacking. Raid leaders assign focus; this button aligns you with the kill order instantly — no more DPSing the wrong mob.

Any class

Auto-Loot Corpse

/script if not IsModifiedClick() then ToggleFrame("LootFrame") end

(Opens loot frame without Shift — combine with auto-loot setting for one-click looting) One press opens the loot frame without holding Shift, so with auto-loot enabled you can chain-loot entire packs with a single key - no modifiers and no slowdown between corpses.

Any class

Auto-Loot Toggle (fast looting)

#showtooltip
/script SetCVar("autoLootDefault", 1 - GetCVar("autoLootDefault"))

Toggles auto-loot on/off with one button. On = every corpse loots instantly (great for the leveling grind); off = shift-click selective looting in dungeons.

Any class

Bandage Self (no mouseover)

#showtooltip
/use [@player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage

[@player] guarantees the bandage lands on you no matter what is targeted - a zero-risk self-top-up between pulls that saves the healer's mana.

Any class

Bountiful Harvest → Cook + Eat loop

#showtooltip
/use [nomod] Grilled Grouper
/use [mod:shift] Filtered Draenic Water

Cooking is a tradeskill, not a /castable spell in Forever — there's no /cast Cooking. Keep the tradeskill window's Cook button for crafting (with Bountiful Harvest doubling yields), and use this one key for the eat/drink side: plain = eat, Shift = drink, no bag hunting mid-grind.

Any class

Buff Food + Drink in one press

/use [nomounted] Scroll of Agility

(Or simply: /use Grilled Grouper — food macros are item-specific) One key applies your buff food without opening bags, and [nomounted] stops you from wasting the buff while mounted - a small bind that pays off every dungeon.

Any class

Custom Potion Buff Check (Alchemy Lab)

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Elixir of Major Mageblood; Elixir of Fortitude

Custom-lab elixirs stack with normal ones on Forever. One key applies your lab elixir; Shift applies a second. Two buffs, one button, zero bag juggling.

Any class

Custom Trinket Stack (all on-use items)

#showtooltip
/use 13
/use 14
/use [combat] Lich's Index Finger

Forever's custom on-use items (trinkets, quest rewards) all share the same "press to activate" pattern. Stacking them in one macro means your full custom-item burst fires on a single keypress during a fight.

Any class

Diplomat → Rep Token Burn

#showtooltip
/use [mod:shift] Insignia of the Alliance
/use [nomod] Insignia of the Horde

Diplomat boosts rep gains. Forever has custom rep tokens (Darkspear care packages etc.). This burns your stored rep item in one keypress — plain for Horde, Shift for Alliance — so rep grinds don't eat your action bars.

Any class

Fall Back To Mount (out of combat)

#showtooltip
/cast [nocombat] Summon Random Favorite Mount

Pressing a DPS button out of combat wastes it; this button mounts you instead. Bind it to your travel key — it auto-mounts when safe and does nothing (or casts) in combat. (Add a fallback spell after the mount for in-combat use.)

Any class

Fermenter / Alchemy Laboratory → Brew + Drink

#showtooltip
/use [@player] Fermented Brew

The custom Fermenter recipe produces drinks that restore mana faster than standard water (custom value). Same pattern works for Alchemy Laboratory elixirs — put the custom consumable on one key and always have your buff up.

Any class

Field Guide → Quest Item Quick-Use

#showtooltip
/use [@cursor] Quest Item

Field Guide improves quest tracking — and many Forever quests are "use item on thing" quests. This drops the quest item at your cursor position in one click instead of fishing it out of your bags. (Replace "Quest Item" with the actual item name — hover it in your bag.)

Any class

Field Medicine → Super Bandage (self)

#showtooltip
/use [@player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage

With Field Medicine (2/2) your bandages heal ~50% more. A one-button self-bandage is your cheapest emergency heal while leveling — no mana, no cooldown beyond the bandage timer. The [@player] guarantees it targets you, never a mouseover mob.

Any class

Flight Path + Mount Priority (Frequent Flier)

#showtooltip
/cast [nocombat] Summon Random Favorite Mount

Frequent Flier unlocks flight paths early. This macro just mounts up — combine with a #showtooltip on a flight-master dialog if you want to fly the moment you dismount.

Any class

Healthstone → Potion (combat)

/use [combat] Healthstone
/use [combat] Major Healing Potion

Stacks your Healthstone and healing potion on one key, both combat-gated - two layers of emergency healing from a single button press.

Any class

Herbalism Gather (mouseover node)

#showtooltip
/target [@mouseover,exists]
/interact

Hover a herb node and press — no clicking the tiny node hitbox. This makes picking instant.

Any class

Interact With Mouseover (gather/npc)

#showtooltip
/interact

(Requires a target; combine with [@mouseover] targeting if your UI supports it.)

Any class

Lich's Index Finger → Offensive Use

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Lich's Index Finger

Custom quest reward items like Lich's Index Finger are essentially free abilities. Putting them on a mouseover-harm macro means they hit exactly who you're hovering — no retargeting mid-combat.

Any class

Mana/Health Potion Priority Chain

#showtooltip
/use [combat] Healthstone
/use [combat] Major Healing Potion

Healthstones (from Warlocks or crafted) share the potion cooldown but heal more per use. This chain tries the better consumable first, falls back to the potion. One button, always the best heal available.

Any class

Master Chef → Eat + Drink in one key

#showtooltip
/use [nomod] Grilled Grouper
/use [mod:shift] Filtered Draenic Water

Master Chef makes food stronger/cheaper to craft; Bountiful Harvest multiplies cooking yields. Leveling = constant eating. One button: plain press eats, Shift+press drinks — no bag hunting mid-grind.

Any class

Quick Mount (Random Favorite)

#showtooltip
/run local c=0; for i=1,GetNumCompanionInfos() do local n,id=GetCompanionInfo("MOUNT",i) end
/cast [nocombat] Summon Random Favorite Mount

Use Summon Random Favorite Mount (added 3.1) or bind each mount to a #showtooltip /cast MountName macro if you prefer specific mounts.

Any class

Reinforce → Gear Repair Macro

#showtooltip
/run RepairAllItems()

Reinforce reduces repair costs. This script repairs everything at any vendor-repair NPC with one click — combine with a /target on the repair NPC if you want a full one-press "repair and go".

Any class

Repair All (vendor NPC)

#showtooltip
/script RepairAllItems()

One click repairs everything while standing at a repair NPC — no right-click menus. Pairs with the Reinforce Legacy perk (reduced repair cost).

Any class

Simple Mount (named)

#showtooltip
/cast [nocombat] Swift Wind Rider

(Replace with your mount's exact name — check the icon library for the right icon!) A dedicated mount key beats spellbook or scroll-wheel fumbling when you need to leave quickly, and the [nocombat] conditional guarantees it never misfires mid-fight.

Any class

Skinning After Kill (Skinning + loot)

#showtooltip
/run if IsFishingLootable() then ... end
/interact

The leveling guide's #1 combo is Skinning + Herbalism. This interact script targets and skins the corpse you're looking at. With auto-loot on, it's one press per corpse — keeps the gold flowing between pulls.

Any class

Trinket Use + Trinket Swap (equip-on-use)

#showtooltip
/use 13
/use 14

On-use trinkets have 2-min cooldowns; you often want two different trinkets (one burst, one defensive). Having both on one button fires them in sequence — the second press uses the second trinket. Simpler than swapping gear mid-fight.

Any class

Weapon Swap (2H ↔ 1H+Shield)

#showtooltip
/equipslot 16, Sulfuras, the Extinguished Hand
/equipslot 17, Bulwark of Azzinoth

Warriors/Paladins/Shamans swap between 2H (DPS) and 1H+Shield (tank/survive) constantly. One button swaps both slots. (Slot 16 = main hand, 17 = off hand. Replace with your actual weapon names — out of combat only.)

Druid

Field Medicine + Poison Cure combo (bandage then cure)

#showtooltip
/cast [@player] Abolish Poison
/use [@player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage

Poison + low HP is the #1 leveling death. One key: strip the poison, then bandage. Field Medicine also boosts bandage healing, so this combo is your "get out of dying" button on classes without self-heals (Warrior, Rogue).

Mage

Cast At Mouseover / Fall Back To Target

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Counterspell

Interrupts and CCs land on whoever you hover without changing your target. You keep DPSing the main target while kicking the healer you're hovering. The [] fallback means: no mouseover → normal target. This single pattern wins PvP fights.

Mage

Castsequence — two spells in one button (with reset)

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=15 Frostbolt, Fire Blast

(Resets after 15s idle or when the sequence ends) Chains Frostbolt into Fire Blast on one button and resets after 15 seconds idle - a mini-rotation on a single bind that never drifts out of sync.

Mage

CC: Focus Target of Focus (kill the off-healer)

#showtooltip
/cast [@focustarget,harm,nodead][] Polymorph

@focustarget = your focus's current target. Set the enemy tank as focus and this button always CCs whoever they're fighting (usually the healer you want locked down). Shown as Polymorph (mage); swap in your own CC — Fear (warlock), Sap (rogue), Repentance (paladin), Hibernate (druid) — same pattern.

Mage

Mana Potion → Mana Gem (Mage-style, any class)

/use [combat] Major Mana Potion
/use [combat] Mana Gem

Fires your mana potion then the Mana Gem in one press, both [combat]-gated so nothing is wasted outside a fight - an instant two-step mana refill on one bind.

Mage

Stopcast + Cast (fake-cast bait / instant reaction)

/stopcasting
/cast Counterspell

Cancels whatever you are casting and fires Counterspell instantly - the reaction-time edge every interrupt needs, and a perfect fake-cast for baiting enemy interrupts.

Mage

Stopcasting + Instant (fake-cast bait)

#showtooltip
/stopcasting
/cast Counterspell

Starts a long cast (e.g. heal) to bait the enemy's interrupt, then instantly cancels and fires your own interrupt. The stopcast line cancels whatever you were doing — critical for interrupt wars. Replace Counterspell with any instant cast.

Paladin

Buff Self / Buff Mouseover (smart buff)

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead] Blessing of Might; [@player] Blessing of Might

Hover a party member → buffs them. No mouseover → buffs you. One button handles both "buff the tank" and "rebuff myself after death." Works for any class buff (Mark of the Wild, Arcane Intellect, Power Word: Fortitude…).

Priest

Heal Friend / Damage Enemy (universal)

#showtooltip
/cast [help] Flash Heal; [harm] Smite

This is the most valuable macro pattern in the game. It reads your target: friendly → heal them, hostile → damage them. One keybind replaces two. Replace the spells with your class's equivalents (e.g. Paladin: Holy Light / Exorcism; Shaman: Healing Wave / Lightning Bolt; Druid: Regrowth / Moonfire).

Priest

Heal: Target of Target (tank assist)

#showtooltip
/cast [@targettarget,help,nodead][] Flash Heal

Heals whoever your target is attacking — the classic tank-heal assist. Set the boss as your target, spam this button, and you automatically heal the tank tanking it. No raid-frame mouseover needed for single-tank fights. Replace with your class heal.

Rogue

Interrupt: Focus > Mouseover > Target

#showtooltip
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead] Kick; [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Kick; [harm] Kick

The interrupt lands on focus first (your designated enemy healer), else mouseover, else current target. One button always does the right interrupt — you never scramble to switch targets mid-cast. Replace Kick with your class interrupt (Counterspell, Earth Shock, Silencing Shot, Shield Bash, Spell Lock).

Rogue

Sprint + Vanish / Escape Combo (Rogue-style)

#showtooltip
/cast Sprint
/cast Vanish

Losing a fight? One key = speed + stealth-drop. Works on any class with a movement+stealth/invisibility pair (Rogue: Sprint+Vanish, Mage: Blink+Invisibility, Hunter: Disengage+Feign Death, Druid: Dash+Prowl).
